Cooking Pasta
Monday, March 2, 2009 at 10:43PM Do you know how easy it is to cook pasta in your Aga Heat Retention Cooker? Follow these simple steps and you can cook it with almost no heat loss.
- Fill your pot with water and salt. Make it salty like the sea.
- Put the pan in the Roasting Oven to preheat the water
- When you are ready to cook the pasta put the pot on the Boiling Plate with a lid
- Water boils, add the pasta and stir once
- Put the pot back in the Baking or Roasting Oven with the lid on the pan
- Set your timer for the exact time it says to cook the pasta on the box.
- Drain and treat as usual
Pasta will not stick, it's another Aga miracle!

THANK YOU!! For telling me how to cook pasta in my Aga cooker! I've had it (the Aga, not the pasta) for a year, and have been trying different things. Your blog is on my Favourites list on my computer now. It is a gold mine of information for the Aga owner. There's not much information out there for how to cook in the Aga. It's fun to experiment with recipes, altering them to suit, but it's nice to have some guidance. Cheers!
