Vermont is the Green Mountain State. Our local Farmer's Market opened this weekend. The only fresh produce in this neck of the woods is green. Nice green tomatoes from Hartshorns. Green garlic and spinach from the Gaylord Farm. I did pick up a local chicken and some eggs as well. In this case the eggs came first, before the chicken. Fresh pasta, wilted spinach, roast chicken with a green tomato relish of some sorts is in the works for tonite.
